Many small businesses are strangled by the inability to cope with big-box stores which literally deprive them of the oxygen needed to survive. This hardship is even more compounded by the current wave of the economic tsunami facing our country. At times, all that is needed is the courage, determination and the will of one individual to use "people power" to galvanize or crowdsource a group of people into doing something positive for a local business.

Call it Flash "Mob B2C” or "Cash Mob" but what Jim Black, a resident of Chagrin Falls, village in Cleveland's eastern suburbs did is exactly what this website is striving to accomplish – to positively flash mob from a business to consumer prospective with the sole purpose of supporting small businesses by to create awareness of your business or brand, draw new customers, increase visits of existing customers and attract new sales to your business.

Black reportedly posted an email to a group of his friends. "Let's show our support for one of our local businesses," he wrote. "I challenge everyone to spend AT LEAST $20 at the hardware on the 21st."

Black's note was forwarded and forwarded and forwarded again. Calls started coming in from folks out of state who wanted to make a purchase over the phone.
